Creative Five World presents "Charity Lounge Lagos"

It’s time for another Charity Lounge in Lagos (Reloaded, Bigger and Better). Last year Charity Lounge in Yola was oh-so-inspirational & after what seems like forever we are happy that it is finally here again. What makes this edition even more exciting is that this date will mark the maiden edition of Charity Lounge Lagos and the team is proud to be inducting three individuals, Tosyn Bucknor, Donjazzy, and...(we let you guess the third) into the Humanitarian Hall of Fame for their notable service to humanity: We call them the “Compatriots with Compassion”.

Public Spirited Individuals and Organisations are invited to come put the Fun in Fundraising by being present at the January edition of Charity Lounge Lagos. It is going to be a cultural themed event where guests can Mix, Mingle, and Donate Time and Funds.

According to the Project Manager Michelle Emiaha, “Charity Lounge Lagos" is all about creating credible

media driven platforms through which we can engage ourselves and the rest of the International Community as a purpose built vehicle to transcend all pressing issues of our immediate community.
The event promises to be the birth of a new nation Community Service and this quarterly event is expected to move around Lagos metropolis as a change agent

Pink Pearl Foundation and Oaken Events Rekindles the Spirit of Giving

 In the usual spirit of sharing love of the season, Pink Pearl Foundation with support from Oaken Events recently gave out items to 300 children from different orphanages around Lagos.

The event, tagged ‘December Giveaway’ was hosted at the Kings College Annex, Victoria Island, Lagos, held on the 31st December 2011 and featured Children from different motherless babies home and correctional facilities such as Special Correctional Centre for Boys Oregun, Children Centre, Idi Araba, Girls Centre, Idi Araba and Girls Remand Home, Idi Araba.

“We planned this event to reach out to young ones who are too often forgotten this season”, said Ayiri
Oladunmoye(CEO Oaken Events). “A lot of us connect and share love with our family and friends but do not remember to spread the love to people who may not enjoy these privileges. In addition to reaching out directly, we also used the event to encourage the spirit of giving.”

 One of the children, Seun Ayodele, said: I am very happy about today. We had enough to eat, danced and enjoyed ourselves. We even got a lot of gifts to take home. I am very grateful to the organisers and hope more people will help us and other children like us.

“Today was yet another eye opener for me and a lot of people who came out,” noted Patron of the Pink Pearl Foundation Orode Jade Okpu in a post event interview. “Some kids came with no shoes and left with new pairs. We should be grateful for what we have, because the things we take for granted are dreams for some others.”

The event which was supported and attended by the First Lady of Delta State, Mrs Roli Uduaghan, the First  Lady of Lagos State, Mrs Abimbola Fashola was also sponsored by Crystal Party Solutions. Other attendees included OC Ukeje and Ajegunle Ghetto Soldier, Daddy Showkey.

series of exotic events in Lagos, Nigeria. Just before commencing his trade-visit to some of the largest shopping malls in Lagos, he enthusiastically and excitedly explained the motive for this historical tour, “I’m happy to be here in Lagos, Nigeria– to show how incredibly committed we are, not only to Nigeria, but to the whole continent of Africa. At the end of the visit, and just before Mr. Facundo Bacardi’s departure the following day, Alex Kothoor, managing director of GDN Nigeria Limited, intimated that based on the success of this visit, and the impression Nigerians made on Mr. Facundo Bacardi, “we’ll be activating a Dance Talent Show sometime in the first or second quarter of next year, and also, we’ll be replicating the success of the Grey Goose Elton John AIDS Foundation here in Nigeria, by establishing a similar foundation to help combat the
spread of AIDS in Nigeria, and also help provide education and relief materials to people living with AIDS in the country.”

Seyi Law insists Lagos must laugh on New Year’s Day

Stand-up comedian, and Mode Men Comedian of the Year, Seyi Law will put his fast rising profile to good use on New Year's Day when he stages his first comedy show at Muson Centre Lagos, and he calls the Show: Lagos Must Laugh with Seyi Law.
